JOB SUMMARY
The Security Ambassador is responsible for guest service, asset protection, guest/employee protection and supporting other departments so they may serve guests more effectively. The Security Ambassador ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals.
All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and assisting guests throughout their visit
- Assist guests with variety of inquiries and situations including information about the property and events, giving directions and escorting them as necessary
- Investigate all incidents on premises. Prepare detailed reports in a clear, precise and timely manner
- Assist injured guests and apply first aid and/or CPR as necessary until professional help arrives
- Check identification of guests to ensure that only those 21 years of age and older are allowed in gaming areas
- Monitor and observe property for disturbances, crimes, fire hazards and undesirable persons and report issues to the manager on duty immediately
- Escort employees with money deliveries
- Log lost and found items, incidents and reports through software program
- Partner with Surveillance team and maintain a basic knowledge of casino surveillance equipment and procedures
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations
- Regularly provides information to management regarding guest reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns throughout the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment
- Show willingness and effort to work as a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Relief Shift Supervisor duties:
- Maintain complete knowledge of Gaming rules and regulations to ensure compliance
- Adhere to and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
- Handle jackpot payments and player tracking with Slots Attendants
- Accurately complete required slot payout paperwork, such as W-9's and W-2G's
- Maintain slot machine knowledge including ability to troubleshoot repairs
- Perform slot machine drops and ATM drops/fills; Initiate and oversee emergency drops as needed
- Manage break schedules and early outs on shift according to volume on the slot floor; cover wherever needed
- Assist with planning and directing of staff scheduling, training and development
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21
- Casino security/surveillance, military or law enforcement experience preferred
- Must possess basic computer skills for efficient use of programs and applications
- Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
- Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
- Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift, handle and carry a minimum of 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
- Ability to patrol on foot and move quickly in response to emergency situations
- Ability to react and verbally defuse potentially violent situations
CERTIFICATIONS
- Must be able to obtain/maintain the following:
- NV State Gaming Control Board Registration (cost = approximately $130 every 5 year renewal)
- Alcohol Awareness Training card (cost = approximately $20 every 4 year renewal)
- Drivers License
- CPR/AED certification preferred
